long hot summer

A number of events collided on this longest day. The aftermath of a minor operation leaving me a bit fragile and war wounded. The 2nd birthday celebration of the triplet daughters of BrillSis and B-i-L. And a rare moment of family members being in the same country / city / town at the same time. It was decided that a day in Yorkshire surrounded by wildlife was in order.

Expecting cloud - as per numerous weather forecasts - we were all proper happy to enjoy a day full of suncream and sun, picnic packing, children chasing each other, woozy wildlife animals and fun, fun, fun.

All the parents sat down for a sarnie and swig of water and the 3G entertained themselves.

  6. You absolutely cannot beat kids making up their own games on a patch of grass. Stuff of childhood memories!
