The image of a mother is as wide and varied as the earth's diverse terrains and peoples. I suppose a 'disney-esque' version of a mother is one who cares, guides, advises, cherishes, nurtures and loves from the cradle until you are separated by the end of one mortal coil, whilst baking apple pie in a pristine floral apron. That is not to say that there are not conflicts and strife with a mother along the way; such is life. But the bond that connects a mother and child biologically or otherwise should surely be unbreakable. Isn't that in the job description?
